Ashgabat and Moscow to discuss a 5-year contract for the supply of Turkmen gas

The second stage of negotiations between Turkmenistan and Russia on the conclusion of a five-year contract for the supply of Turkmen gas to the Russian Federation should begin in the near future in Ashgabat. A source in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan said to ORIENT.

To deal with these issues and conclude a mid-term contract, Gazprom delegation is expected to be received at Turkmengas State Concern, where the second round of talks on supply of “blue fuel” will take place.

The volumes of supplies and the price of Turkmen gas will be the subject of negotiations. Deliveries would start in the second half of 2019.
